The twins came out for a little frolic, ran around me for about half an hour, so cute!

We have had two of our Princes Trust youngsters working on the reserve for the last two weeks as work experience. They have been reed cutting, painting, building steps, unloading paving stones and helping build our artificial badger set.

The lesser spotted daughter was glimpsed briefly at the reserve, I snapped a quick picture of this rare sighting. Planting wildflower seeds at the entrance with mum.

I visited IMMI (local firm) to give a presentation to the workforce about the nature reserve. They have a community program that helps local good causes with employees give paid time off to help. I am hopeful that they will be able to provide some help. Fingers crossed!

Our portacabin classroom was craned in yesterday, very exciting. It’s not fully together yet but it’s here which is the main thing.

After many many hours work we are all set for our classroom to be craned in tomorrow, I just hope all our measurements are correct 😱

We have another group from the Prices Trust on the reserve at the moment. We have 10 youngsters and 2 supervisors working hard laying down some wood chip path. The weather finally beat us this afternoon and rain stopped play!

Well those pesky rodents will eat anything, I’ll have to stop leaving boots in hide 1 :-
