Walkers on track

I welcomed the Newcastle Railway Walking Group on the reserve today. They included Clarks Bog on their walking circuit today and I gave the group a tour.

This was the largest group (26) to be given the tour so far and seemed to enjoy it (i hope!)

  1. Northumberland Railway Walks Society is alively group of walkers and nature lovers. We all really enjoyed our visit to Clark’s Bog where Pete was kind enough to give us an extensive guided tour. Fascinating and so uplifting to discover the wonderful conservation work taking place on our doorsteps. A true hidden gem!

  2. Dear Peter, thank you so very much for spontaneously welcoming both Noel and me in to the haven which you are creating for the local wildlife to thrive as much as the bordering busy market town of Morpeth does too. We felt very lucky to have met such an on-trend ecological visionary along with the likes of Attenborough and Lucas, I’d say. The reserve is the sort of growing facility that nature and people alike will truly benefit from well into the future. Happily reflecting on this Edenesque site and how fortuitous and delightful we were almost stumbling upon it whilst out walking. We’ll be coming back (if you’ll have us) to contemplate the progress in the coming months as the seasons’ ever-changing canvas encourages… and to share the enjoyment of listening to the music of the timeless birdsong. I have to add your wildlife photography is exceptional. All good wishes. Byron.
