A teacher from Newminster visited the reserve last week to see if it would be suitable for their children. He gave it a good look and was very enthusiastic about what they could use the reserve for. So it looks like a thumbs up from an educational viewpoint and we seem to be doing the things that they would want from a schools perspective.

So we will be looking to start something with schools in early June.

Local resident showed a lack of manners when snapped by local paparazzi.

Keeping to my goal of being a green nature reserve my entry screen of recycled pallets has begun its green makeover.

Big thanks to my friends at Maxhire who came out and put the track back on my digger that I managed to knock off.

Planning notice posted near the marsh field, at least this shows we are in the process. Hopefully we will not have any objectors and things go smoothly.

​More housing going up in the Morpeth area, hopefully this will not add to traffic congestion.

Many thanks to the team from the Princes Trust who provided me with some manpower over the last two weeks. They sent in between 12-16 people over 4 days, they helped with making wood chip pathways and moving earth piles and landscaping. They have saved me a lot of mud shifting for which my back will be eternally grateful.

Hopefully they enjoyed the experience too.
